Experience Toronto’s Don River in a whole new way! You’ve driven past it, walked and biked it’s shoreline, but have you ever paddled its waters?
Manulife Paddle The Don is a unique opportunity to paddle down Canada’s most urbanized river and get a ducks eye-view of the beauty, and challenges, of the Don River. Organized by the TRCA, Paddle the Don has been sending paddlers down the river and raising funds and awareness for the health of the Don River since 2002.
Starting at the picturesque natural shoreline of Ernest Thompson Seton Park, to the very un-natural Keating Channel under the Gardiner Expressway, it’s an urban paddling adventure complete with rocks, rapids, and tight turns!
Check out the photo gallery below to see pics from our trip down the mighty Don River in 2012 and 2014.
Ready to paddle down the Don? Registration for the 2016 Manulife Paddle The Don begins March 8, at 10am. Canoes and kayaks fill up fast, so mark your calendars.
